UN condemns 'any effort to seize power by force' in Niger

The United Nations condemned "any effort to seize power by force and to undermine democratic governance" in Niger, secretary general spokesman Stephane Dujarric said on Wednesday (July 26), as presidential guards held Niger president Mohamed Bazoum inside his palace.
