Gearing up to Unseat Mitt Romney (ft. Mayor Trent Staggs)

Trent Staggs, a lifelong Utahn and two-term Mayor of Riverton, describes himself as a by-the-book fiscal and social conservative. In other words, he has the same political principles that Mitt Romney ran his 2018 Senate campaign pledging to uphold.

For example, Romney promised to help secure the border, vote for conservative justices on the Supreme Court, and reduce federal spending.

In this exclusive interview, Mayor Staggs points out one big problem that is glaringly obvious to most conservatives: As senator, Romney's never actually delivered on anything he campaigned on — instead embracing Washington values of wokeness and big government.

Why trust the mayor? The biggest reason is that he claims to have the track record to prove his conservative bona fides.

“I’ve got a record, I’ve been in government for 10 years,” Mayor Staggs said. “I’m truly a conservative and not just fiscally, where I’ve cut taxes and lowered the cost of government for our residents, but I’ve also passed resolutions supporting life and pushed back against inappropriate material in school.”

Another thing that stands out from his time in public service is that he was one of the only mayors to not allow mask and vaccine mandates during the pandemic.
