President Biden's recent assertion that real wages are higher than pre-pandemic levels was fact-checked and found wanting by Twitter's Community Notes. Their data show that inflation-adjusted wages stood at $11.15 on 3/15/20, and as of 7/16/23, they stand at $11.05, contrary to the president's claim. Inflation has also been notably higher under Biden's administration compared to the prior one, and despite significant job creation, it follows a massive loss of over 22 million jobs during the early days of the pandemic.
