Axis Football 19 - Review

Maximum Football 19 wasn’t the only indie football game that released on Friday. Axis Football 19 is the latest installment in the Axis franchise, and despite the fact that’s it’s been out shadowed by Maximum Football as of late, it might actually be a better game. In fact, Axis Football not only lacks many of the issues seen in Maximum Football but has a franchise mode experience so deep and customizable that it puts any Madden since Madden 12 to shame. However, gameplay is still lacking, and actually disappointing with very little noticeable change from the last few iterations of the game. Despite this, however, Axis Football 19 is the closest unlicensed football game to challenging Madden, but it simply isn’t there yet. Similar to Maximum Football, the game is developed by a small team, but at the end of the day, most people won’t care.
