The real miracles here were: 1. I happened to be a bit off the lane for a smoother ride to keep CD from skipping and didn't paste it myself, and 2. I even NOTICED it at all. Adult Painted Turtle but tiny black spot in all that vastness. There's also another important, unrelated aspect to this; TMI below.

I'm still new here. Only 2 - 3 ranches or farms in valley; nearest belongs to a cattle and horse guy (as well as farmer) named, of course, Buckshot. VERY COOL DUDE; already came to rescue a couple times last winter. Survived it, so cred SLOWLY rising (as well as not calling for help except once; he just showed up once with trucks and wranglers when he saw me stuck once). Other past residents were disasters here. Landlord needs property maintained so needs the right person but is NOT like renting out a city apartment. (PS: no boast; I'm "right" but for too many wrong reasons!). Anywho ...

Country courtesy is to at least exchange a few friendly words. Note this pickup kept windows up, did not get out or take ANY risk I was some nut. Only struck me later ... I believe this was Buckshot's wife and another ranch lady, neither of which I met longer than 30 seconds and believe they are NOT impressed with me. See any other humans or houses? I'm sure as far as they were concerned, I was flagging them down for phuckery... or who knows, who cares? Not shown was as it approached, I got out, door open, waving and jumping up and down for them to stop. And NO DOUBT they were looking at me, not that small dot of a turtle. Likely grabbing their guns. Good job, ladies. Just a note on remote prairie tactics all should follow.
