At the turn of the century Ambroise Vollard was the most renowned art dealer of his time. He discovered such artists as Cezanne, Matisse and Vlaminck to name only a few. The Vollard estate holds the copper plates used for the original engravings. These Cézanne heliographs are unknown where they exist from date of July 1, 2003. Original copies are now priceless. In 1986 the Vollard estate began work on a reissue of the prints.
