The dream wasn’t real but they woke to the nightmare
In a post-truth world where no one seemed to care
For the truth is hard and don’t come for free
When you’re sleepwalking through World War Three

Drugs and computer games to keep them entertained
Deep fake news to wash their brains
A rat wheel for a little exercise
To forget about the nanobots, crawling inside

The algorithm points, “That way to heaven”
Just take your shot, upgrade to eleven
Fly on the wing of the dark cyber angel
Into the virtual bowels of hell

Some will learn faith is its own reward
The door will open when you believe in the Lord
God isn’t dead, you’d just forgotten
Remember who you are and that He is risen
Christ is risen
