U.S. senators, experts sound alarm on dangers of AI

Both Democratic and Republican senators expressed alarm on Tuesday (July 25) about the potential for a malevolent use of artificial intelligence. Those to speak in a hearing before a subcommittee of the Senate Judiciary Committee, included Democrat Richard Blumenthal, Dario Amodei of the AI company Anthropic and Richard Stuart, a Professor of Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley.
