Col. Matthew Brahman, the deputy commanding officer of the 10th Mountain Division, speaks at a rededication ceremony on Whiteface Mountain, N.Y., June 23, 2023, commemorating the division’s 80 years of Alpine history, and looking to its future. The ceremony rededicated Whiteface Mountain to the original 10th Mountain Division and also featured speeches from Mr. Richard Hamlin, the historian of the National Ski Patrol, and Mr. Michael Pratt, the chief executive officer of the Olympic Regional Development Authority.
