GOV’T IN TALKS WITH PRIVATE BROADCASTERS OVER PRESIDENTIAL DIRECTIVE ON ADVERT

The government is currently engaged in discussions with the National Association of Broadcasters to address concerns arising from the presidential directive, which requires all government agencies to advertise exclusively through UBC (Uganda Broadcasting Corporation).
As Ivan Kaahwa reports, the initial threat of a boycott on government activities appears to be facing challenges, as journalists have diligently adhered to their mandate of keeping the public informed by continuing to cover these activities
