The sixth mainline installment in the Monster Hunter series, it was released worldwide in March 2021, with a Windows port released in January 2022. An expansion pack, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, was released in June 2022. Ports for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S were released on January 20, 2023, and the Sunbreak expansion followed on April 28 that year.
