The attack on the Odessa Transfiguration Cathedral ( 46°28'59.09"N / 30°43'52.94"E) on July 23rd was most likely performed by a Kaliber cruise missile with a ~450 kilogram warhead. The missile likely struck the cathedral from the southeast as it was turning toward a coal plant roughly 19 miles away to the west ( 46°27'46.18"N / 30°19'18.12"E).

This event was a classic example of Russian disinformation by using Deceptive Imagery Persuasion. As seen here:

The photograph showing shrapnel was first used on August 29th, 2022 after a Russian attack on a Ukrainian town. It was used again to imply that surface to air missile shrapnel was found in the debris.
