From Maryland to Pope Lick, to Lake worth or any trestle bridge erected over the past century. Most bridges have a dark sinister story behind them, and in many cases involve a Goat-like humanoid figure. While Goatman stories originated in the early 1970s, some of its legends are set in the 1950s, and legends of the humanoid are even traced back to the epic of Gilgamesh. Despite lack of physical evidence, stories of Goatman's existence continued to circulate, especially amongst those who would dare venture onto the train trestles and risk certain death. Pope Lick’s bridge has contributed to eleven injuries and nine deaths over the past four decades. Maryland’s Goatman is said to be a very large monstrosity that mutilates animals and chops the heads off of his victims. So why is the Goatman associated with the field of Cryptozoology? Is the monster a spiritual being or a solid manifestation? These are some of the questions we ask fellow researcher and investigator of the Lake worth and Old Alton bridge monster. Jason McLean re-joins us for an in-depth discussion of the Horned menace.
