💥 Antonio Salieri - Requiem 🎶

Salieri's Requiem is a forgotten 🎼 work that Salieri composed in 1804 for his own funeral, more than twenty years before his death in 1825.

Written at the height of his creativity, it is his greatest work of liturgical music 🎶 a dramatic and personal interpretation of the liturgy of death. Not many composers write their own funeral music.

Beethoven and Schubert were students of Salieri and attended his funeral, where the Requiem was premiered.
