Pets are an incentive to develop motor skills. Taking the dog for a walk or chasing him around the yard and throwing the ball are both great ways to exercise the dog and make the kids stop staying at home and playing sedentary games and give themselves a shake. To encourage children to do smaller motor activities, you can ask them to pour food and water into the animal's food bowl or let them help clean and comb them. Of course, depending on the age of the child, parents should supervise the activities so that there is no danger to the child or the animal.
