Introducing Richard Williams, a compassionate candidate running for the Montgomery, AL City Council. Hailing from Moncks Corner, South Carolina, Richard was raised with strong values of service and love for others, which have been evident throughout his life and career. From his early days, he provided support and assistance to his peers, even volunteering for helplines like 1800 Teen Line and 1800 Suicide to help those in need.

As a graduate of Morehouse College with a background in psychology, Richard originally aimed for a career in the business world, but life took a turn when his mother tragically passed away from cancer when he was just nineteen. This life-altering event compelled him to dedicate himself to guiding and supporting individuals through their most challenging times.

Richard's strong spiritual background and desire to serve others in their spiritual journeys led him to pursue seminary education at the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta. Along his journey, he has held various impactful roles, including serving as a pastor at Aldersgate United Methodist Church and later becoming the lead pastor of Metropolitan United Methodist Church in Montgomery, AL.

Throughout his endeavors, Richard has demonstrated a deep care for his community, as seen through his involvement in expanding resources through initiatives like the Beacon Center and Davis Elementary, providing much-needed support to families. He also collaborated with Trenholm Community College to launch a GED program, further highlighting his commitment to empowering citizens.

Richard's forward-thinking nature and passion for bridge building make him a remarkable leader, and he continues to make time to give back to the community by volunteering regularly at local schools and contributing to the communities of transformation. Join Richard Williams in his journey to bring positive change to Montgomery and build a brighter future for all its residents by supporting his candidacy for the City Council. Together, we can create a more inclusive and thriving city under Richard's compassionate and thoughtful leadership.
