Greece wildfires: Evacuations continue as thousands flee Rhodes - BBC News

Evacuations are taking place as wildfires continue to grip the Greek island of Rhodes.

Tourists were forced to flee hotels and sleep outside as fires spread towards resorts on the eastern coast.

Greece says it has launched the biggest rescue of its kind in response to the wildfires emergency, and Corfu and Evia have also issued evacuation orders.

Meanwhile, 30 people have died in Algeria as the country also tackles wildfires.
