Today on The Aussie Wire:

1. Topher reflects on the dip in Premier Daniel Andrews' popularity since the cancelling of the Commonwealth Games, and what it says about Victorian voters and the task we have ahead of us if we're going to become the kind of people who deserve better government and better premiers.

2. Alex Story, our UK Correspondent, joins us once again to discuss the explosive revelations that MPs and banking executives lied when they claimed Nigel Farage has had his bank account cancelled due to not meeting economic or financial requirements. Making matters worse it appears that the banks must have revealed personal financial information to media in a major breach of privacy. This targeting of Nigel Farage appears designed to destroy him and send a message to others, but they underestimated Nigel's will to fight back.

3. Victorian MLC David Limbrick joins us to discuss the cancellation of the Commonwealth Games and the legacy of billion dollar payouts for cancelled projects under Daniel Andrews.

4. Science Correspondent Joanne Nova brings us the good news that perhaps some sanity is creeping in to some countries' approach to energy and 'net zero'. Not Australia of course, don't be absurd, but nevertheless some countries are finally breaking from the orthodoxy of climate fear and 'net zero' and doing what is best for their citizens instead. Can we hope to see such ideas catch on here?
