It is very eerie and scary. I wanted to quickly leave this necropolis. Not only the relics of saints, but closely related things and objects were venerated as relics. The collection has been assembled during the years of the counter-reformation (a movement aimed at the suppression of Protestantism). In 1577 the Pope gave the Duke Wilhelm V the right to collect relics. The son of William, Maximilian I, expanded the collection and put relics in the Luxurious chapel. Until the nineteenth century, these relics was considered the most valuable part of the Palace's wealth. Up to now there are about 60 cancer created in the years 1590-1640 outstanding Munich and Augsburg masters.
