Human history involves records and stories written down by humans. Human civilization and human history began about 6000 years ago, around 4000 BC. The book of Genesis gives one of the most precise documentation of human history of all ancient documents whether or not it is accurate. Many people never read the documentation that is after the first chapter, but rather focus only on the mysterious creation account of the first chapter. The following is a literal translation of the first chapter of Genesis from Hebrew into English.

Before the Stars

At the highest point, Elohiym fed matter-weight to fill space and form the earth; the earth was in chaos and desolate. No light could reach the face of the deep sea of fluid and there were powerful winds and many fluttering-vibrations traveled upon the face of the fluid-waters.

Phase 1: Stars and Solar Systems

And Elohiym said “light will exist”, and He willed the light to exist. Elohiym saw the light that was given off that was functional. Elohiym made a separation layer between the light and between the darkness.

Elohiym called out to the light “day” and to darkness He called out “night”, and sundown existed and sunup existed. Day-phase-cycle unit.

Phase 2: Earth’s Atmosphere

Elohiym said “A sheet-boundary will exist in the midst of the fluid-waters”, and he willed to make exist layers of separation between fluid-waters to fluid-waters.

Elohiym will make a separation sheet-boundary: He will make a separation layer between the fluid-waters under the sheet-boundary and between the fluid-waters upon the sheet-boundary. And He willed it to exist so.

Elohiym called out to the sheet-boundary “sky” and sundown existed and sunup existed. Day-phase-cycle the second.

Phase 3: Earth’s Land and Vegetation

Elohiym said “the fluid-water will be bound up from under the sky to one place and dry ground will be seen”. And He willed it to exist so. Elohiym called out to the dry ground “earth” and the collection of fluid-water He called out “seas”. Elohiym saw that it was functional.

Elohiym said the land will make sprout grass, herbs, and seed sowing produce-fruit trees producing its own kind of seed within it. Upon the earth He willed it to exist so.

And the earth made go out grass, herbs, seed sowing produce-fruit trees. Elohiym saw that it was given to be functional.

Phase 4: Earth’s Moon Coalesces

Elohiym said “there will exist luminaries in the sheet-boundary of the sky to make a separation between the day and the night and they exist to signal and assign time for days and for years and they exist for luminaries in the sheet-boundary of the sky to make glow upon the earth. And He willed it to exist so.

Elohiym will make two magnificent luminaries; at the magnificent luminary to regulate the day and at the small luminary to regulate the night and at the stars. And Elohiym gave them in the sheet-boundary of the sky to make a glow upon the earth and to regulate in the day and in the night and to make a separation between the light and the darkness and Elohiym saw that it was given to be functional.

Sundown existed and sunup existed. Day-phase-cycle the fourth.

Phase 5: Earth’s Sea and Flying Animals

Elohiym said “the waters will swarm, swarmers of living beings and flyers will fly much upon the face of the sheet-boundary of the sky”. Elohiym feed the magnificent tannins and feed all beings of life, the treading ones which swarm the fluid-waters to their kind and the winged flyers to their kind and Elohiym saw that it was given to be functional.

And he knelt much at them and said “reproduce and increase and fill at the fluid-water in the seas and the flyers increased in the earth.

Sundown existed and sunup existed. Day-phase-cycle the fifth.

Phase 6: Earths Land Animals and Humans

Elohiym said “the earth will make go out living beings to their kind, beasts and treaders, and living ones of the earth to its kind. And He willed it to exist so.

Elohiym will make life of the earth to its kind and to the beasts to its kind and to the ground treaders to its kind and Elohiym saw that it was given to be functional.

And Elohiym said “We will make Human in shadow-image of us like our likeness and he will rule the swimmers of the sea, the flyers of the sky and in the beats, and in all the earth and in all the treaders treading upon the earth. Elohiym fed matter-weight to Human in His shadow-image. Elohiym fed matter-weight him Male and Female He fed matter-weight them.

And Elohiym knelt at them and Elohiym said to them “reproduce and increase and fill at the earth and subdue it and rule the swimmers of the sea, the flyers of the sky, and all life treading upon the earth.

And Elohiym said “look I gave to you all herbs sowing seeds which are upon the face of the earth and all the produce-fruit trees sowing seeds for you to exist for food and to all life of the earth and to all flyers of the sky and to all treaders upon the earth, which in them being life all green herbs for food”. And He willed it to exist so.

Elohiym saw all which He did do and looked, it is many functional and Sundown existed and sunup existed. Day-phase-cycle the sixth.

Phase 7: Creation Ceases

The sky was finished and the land was finished and the armies of them were finished. And Elohiym finished in the seventh day-cycle-phase His occupation which he did do and He will cease in the day-cycle-phase the seventh from all His occupation which He did.

And Elohiym knelt at the seventh day-cycle-phase and set it apart given that in it He did cease from all His occupation which He did feed matter-weight to make. These are the birthings of the sky and the earth in their being fed matter-weight in the day of Yahweh-(He exists) Elohiym-(Powerful) made the earth and sky-fluids and all the shrubs of the field.

The following is not meant to be a logistical analysis of Genesis, but rather is meant to be a general overview of the events recorded in Genesis with the purpose of understanding the timeline and foreshadowed future events. Genesis contains family records that document detailed and precise numerical values meant to preserve an ancestral history. The events in the timeline are then explained using stories that give a human perspective to the events in the timeline. The family records preserved in Genesis make a precise timeline that is mapped out at the end of this section. Some Bible verses have been inserted to understand how the New Testament relates to the Old Testament from a Christian perspective.

The creation of the universe (14 billion years before Adam)

God created the heavens and the earth in seven phases: (1) stars and solar systems are created, (2) Earth and its atmosphere are created, (3) Earth’s land and vegetation are created, (4) Earth’s moon coalesces, (5) Earth’s sea and flying animals are created, (6) Earths land animals and humans are created, and (7) creation ceases.

The creation of Adam

God formed man out of dust and gave him life. God created a garden in Eden. Man was allowed to manage the garden and eat from any tree in it except for one, the tree of knowledge of good and evil. God allowed man to name the animals. God created woman using one of the Adam’s ribs. God closed the place back up with regenerative flesh.

The serpent tricks Eve into eating fruit from the only forbidden tree. She eats the fruit and gives it to Adam to eat. God confronts Adam and Eve. Adam blames Eve and Eve blames the serpent. Adam and Eve were forced to leave the garden. Adam and Eve choose the side of rebellion and were thus denied access to the tree of life and eternal life.

The death of Adam (930 years after Adam)

Adam lived to be 930 years old before he died. The decedents of Adam and Eve formed into societies. Adam and Eve then had two more sons, Cain and then Abel. Cain and Abel both brought an offering to God. God was pleased with Abel offering the fat portions of his firstborn livestock and was not pleased with the fruit offering of Cain. Cain becomes jealous of Abel and murders Abel. Cain’s punishment is that he could no longer grow crops and would become a wanderer. God gave Cain a mark so that no one would kill him. God says that anyone who kills Cain out of vigilante justice will face retribution seven times over. Cain marries a wife and has decedents.

The birth of Noah (1056 years after Adam)

Adam was 130 years old when Seth was born. Adam lived 800 years after Seth and had other sons and daughters. Adam lived to be 930 years before he died. Seth lived 912 years before he died. Seth had decedents who similarly had long life-spans. Noah was a decedent of Seth.

Adam lived to be 930 years old. Seth lived to be 912 years old. Enosh lived to be 905 years old. Kenan lived to be 910 years old. Mahalalel lived to be 895 years old. Jared lived to be 962 years old. Enoch did not die but was taken by God. Methuselah lived 969 years old. Lamech lived to be 777 years old.

Adam was 130 years old when Seth was born. Seth was 105 years old when Enosh was born. Enosh was 90 years old when Kenan was born. Kenan was 70 years old when Mahalalel was born. Mahalalel was 65 years old when Jared was born. Jared was 162 years old when Enoch was born. Enoch was 65 years old when Methuselah was born. Methuselah was 187 years old when Lamech was born. Lamech was 182 years old when Noah was born. Noah was born 1056 years after Adam was created, which is 126 years after Adam died.

The flood of Noah (1656 years after Adam)

Noah was around 500 years old when he had three sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Having children at such a late age must have caused the human life-span to start to degenerate. God reveals the standard maximum human life-span will eventually degenerate to 120 years. The human race became wicked and had every inclination to evil thoughts all the time. Because of their rebellion and treason, the Lord had the power and authority to wipe them off the face of the earth using a flood. However, Noah found favor with God, so God spared Noah and his family to repopulate the earth.

On the earth before the flood there were creatures akin to titans called the Nephilim, and there was another more powerful humanoid race called the “sons of God”. The “sons of God” married human daughters had hybrid children who became the heroes of legend. These other humanoid races were destroyed in the flood, but embellished stories of them became mythology.

Noah was born 1056 years after Adam was created. Noah was 600 years old when the floodwaters came upon the earth, which was 5 years after Lamech had died. The flood occurred 1656 years after Adam was created. Unless any of the wives were a decedent of Cain, all the decedents of Cain were wiped out in the flood. We are all the sons Adam, the sons of Seth, the sons of Noah.

Noah built an ark that was 300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide, and 30 cubits high (each cubit is about half a yard). There were three decks: lower, middle, and upper. The area of all the three decks was 45,0000 square cubits, which is about 11,250 square yards, which is 101,250 square feet or over 9406 square meters. If Noah started building the ark after his father Lamech died, then Noah would have had 5 years to build the ark. Otherwise, Noah would have had longer.

The ark was made out of cypress wood. Within the ark was at least 1 pair of every animal labeled unclean, 1 male and 1 female. There were 7 pairs of every animal labeled as clean, 7 males and 7 females. There were 7 pairs of every type of bird, 7 males and 7 females. After the ark was built, Noah had a week to load all of the animals into the ark.

On the 17th day of the 2nd month the rain began to fall. Rain fell on the land for 40 days. The land remained completely flooded for 150 days. Then the water started to recede. On the 17th day of the 7th month the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat. On the 1st day of the 10th month the tops of the other mountains became visible.

Noah sent out a dove, but it returned to the ark. A week later, Noah sent another dove out, and it returned with an olive leaf. A week later, Noah sent another dove out, and it did not return. The water had dried up by the 1st day of the 1st month when Noah was 601 years old. By the 27th day of the 2nd month, the land was completely dry.

For 1656 years, humanity had been living in a localized region. The flood destroyed all of humanity within that region. Only 8 people survived the flood, Noah, his wife, his three sons, and their wives. The animals preserved in the ark allowed the region to recover quickly afterward. Noah, his family, and the animals were in the ark for 1 year and 10 days.

Noah offered to God burnt offerings some of every type of clean animal and every type of bird. God promises never to destroy all living creatures again. God gives humans all the animals, everything that lives and moves, for food. God only commands that no one eat animals when they are still alive. God also command humans not to shed human blood because mankind was made in the image of God. God commands humans to multiply and increase on the earth.

God makes a covenant and promises to never again judge humanity with a flood. Although God allows minor floods in the future, he is not causing them and they are not because of any form of judgment. God tells Noah to have his decedents remember the covenant every time they see a rainbow. This is so the descendants of Noah will never have to fear another great flood nor mistake any natural flood as act of judgment against them. The great flood of Noah foreshadows that at the end of the world when the genuine Christians will be gathered from the world and then the rest will be judged.

Luke 17:26-27

“Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all.

Matthew 24:36-41

“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.

Mark 13:32-37

Ephesians 2:3-5

All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.

1 Peter 3:20-22

to those who were disobedient long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water, and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at God’s right hand—with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him.

1 Thessalonians 5:4-9

Noah exits the Ark (1657 years after Adam)

Noah, his family, and the animals were in the ark for 1 year and 10 days. Noah lived 350 years after the flood started. Noah was 950 years old when he died, which was 2006 years after Adam was created. Noah was around 500 years old when Shem was born. Shem was 100 years old when Arpachshad was born two years after the flood.

The Tower of Babel

Before the flood, humanity stayed in the same localized region. After the flood, the whole world spoke the same language that Noah’s family originally spoke. After the flood, humanity started to migrate into other regions. While men were migrating in the East, they came to a valley in the land of Shinar. They used bricks for stone and bitumen for mortar. They wanted to build a city with a giant ziggurat tower elevated in the sky, the tower of Babel. They wanted to do this to create a capital city for a one-world government.

The Lord warns against a one-world language and against a one-world government. A one-world government and one-world language would have caused technology would develop too rapidly, and it would allow evil to dominate the world. Just as a government may break up a business monopoly, the Lord breaks up a one-world government monopoly. The Lord scattered humanity all over the earth, so that they would have different governments and different languages. The tower of babel foreshadows the one-world government and one-world satanic religion predicted at the end of this world. After the genuine Christians have been gathered from the world, their absence will allow the evil beast to come to power and set up a one-world government for 42 months. This one-world government will attempt to suppress the final new converts to Christianity. The one-world government will try to force everyone who remains on the earth to worship the image of the beast and to take the mark of the beast on their right hand or forehead or else they will be put to death or not be able to buy or sell anything. Everyone who worships the image of the beast or takes the mark of the beast has committed treason against God and will not inherit eternal life, but rather will be thrown into the lake of fire. Everyone on the earth at that time must not worship the beast and must not take the mark of the beast even if it means they will have their head cut off by an Islamic sword.

Revelation 3:9-10

Revelation 13:15-17

The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed. It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name.

Revelation 13:8

All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world.

I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. The birth of Abraham (1948 years after Adam)

Abraham was a decedent of Shem. The standard maximum life-span of humans degenerated significantly between Shem and Abraham.

Noah lived to be 950 years old. Shem lived to be 600 years old. Arpachshad lived to be 438 years old. Shelah lived to be 433 years old. Eber lived to be 464 years old. Peleg lived to be 239 years old. Reu lived to be 239 years old. Serung lived to be 230 years old. Nahor lived to be 148 years old. Terah lived to be 205 years old.

The flood started in 1656 years after Adam was created. Arpachshad was born 2 years after the flood started. Arpachshad was 35 years old when Shelah was born. Shelah was 30 years old when Eber was born. Eber was 34 years old when Peleg was born. Peleg was 30 years old when Reu was born. Reu was 32 years old when Serug was born. Serug was 30 years old when Nahor was born. Nahor was 29 years old when Terah was born. Terah was 70 years old when Abraham was born. Abraham was born 292 years after the flood started, which was 1948 years after Adam was created.

The death of Noah (2006 years after Adam)

Adam died 930 years after Adam was created. Noah was born 1056 years after Adam was created. Abraham was born 1948 years after Adam was created. Noah died 2006 years Adam was created. Abraham was born 126 years after Adam died. Noah died when Abraham was already 58 years old.

Abraham’s Migration to Canaan (2023 years after Adam was created)

Abraham left Haran and migrated to Canaan when he was 75 years old, which was 17 years after Noah died , which was 367 years after the flood started, which was 2023 years after Adam was created.

The Lord promised to make Abraham into a great nation. The Lord promised to make Abraham’s name great and to bless him. The Lord promised to bless those who bless him and curse those who curse him. The Lord appeared to Abraham’s and told him that his decedents would be giving the land of Canaan. Abraham journeyed by stages to Negeb with his wife Sarah and his nephew Lot. There was a severe famine, so they went to Egypt to temporarily live there. Abraham’s wife Sarah was very beautiful, so Abraham told the Pharaoh that she was his sister fearing that he might be killed because of her. Sarah actually was Abraham’s half-sister and this was before there were genetic defects to make incest an issue. The Pharaoh gave Abraham gifts of herds of animals, male and female slaves, donkeys, and camels to allow Sarah to work in the Pharaoh’s place. The Pharaoh took Sarah as his wife. The Lord struck him with plagues because of it. The Pharaoh gave Sarah back to Abraham and had them leave with all their possessions. Abraham, Sarah, and Lot returned to Negeb with all their possessions. The land could not sustain both Abraham and Lot and all their possessions. Therefore they separated. Abraham stayed in Canaan and Lot went eastward to the Jordan Plain.

The Lord promises that all the land in sight will eventually belong to Abraham’s decedents forever. The Lord promises to make Abraham’s descendants beyond what anyone can count just as the dust of the earth is beyond what anyone can count. The Lord promises to make Abraham’s decedents beyond what anyone can count just as the stars that were visible in the sky were beyond what anyone could count. Abraham did not yet have any children, but Abraham still trusted the Lord. Abraham asks the Lord for a sign to prove that it was the Lord that will give them possession of the land. The Lord says that the sign will be that in the future Abraham’s descendants will be aliens in a land that is not theirs and will be enslaved for 400 years, but after that the Lord will judge that nation and Abraham’s decedents will depart with great wealth. The Lord foresaw that before then the wickedness Amorites will not yet have become ripe for judgment.

The Lord made a covenant with Abraham to give to eventually give his descendants the opportunity to take the land from the Wadi of Egypt to the Great River Euphrates. This was the land of the Kenites, the Kenizzites, the Kadmonites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Rephaim, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgashites, and the Jebusites. The Lord already foresaw that these nations would become wicked and ripe for judgment, so the Lord already planned to give their land to Abraham’s decedents.

Birth of Ishmael (2034 years after Adam was created)

Abraham had a son with his wife’s maidservant, Hagar. She bore him a son, Ishmael. Ishmael was born when Abraham was 86 years old, which was 11 years after Abraham left Haram and migrated to Canaan, which was 28 years after Noah died, which was 2034 years after Adam was created, which was 378 years after the flood started.

Covenant of Circumcision (2047 years after Adam was created)

The Lord made the covenant of circumcision with Abraham when he was 99 years old, which was 13 years after Ishmael was born, which was 24 years after Abraham left Haram and migrated to Canaan, which was 41 years after Noah died, which was 391 years after the flood started, which was 2047 years after Adam was created.

The Lord appears to Abraham and says “I am the God Almighty”. Abraham was to become the father of a host of nations. God promises that nations and kings will stem from Abraham. God changed Abraham’s name from Abram to Abraham. Abraham’s original name was Abram meaning “exalted father”, but God changed it to Abraham meaning “father of many”. Sarah’s original name was Sarai meaning “princess”, but God changes it to Sarah meaning “princess of many”.

Abraham’s part of the covenant was that he and all his male descendants would have the flesh or their foreskin circumcised. Throughout all the ages all the members of the household would be circumcised including any slaves born in the household and those bought from a foreigner would be circumcised. Anyone who was not circumcised was supposed to be banished from residing with his decedents due to breaking the covenant.

God says that he will bless Sarah and she will give Abraham a son. God says that he is willing to bless that son and is willing to make that son the father of the many nations and rulers of people. In one year, Abraham would be 100 years old and Sarah would be 90 years old when she gave birth. Therefore, Abraham is 10 years older than Sarah. Abraham says that it is not necessary, but rather the many nations and rulers of people should come from Ishmael. God agrees to let the many nations and rulers of people come from Ishmael. God agrees to Abraham’s request to bless Ishmael. God promises to make Ishmael a father of twelve chieftains and a great nation. God also promises to bless Ishmael by making him fertile and multiply exceedingly. The Arab nations in modern day claim to be composed of the descendants of Ishmael. Many of these modern Arab nations are in the Arab League. Some of these modern Arab nations contain portions of the land between the Nile and Euphrates rivers promised to Abraham’s descendants including Egypt, Sudan, Yemen, Oman, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Eritrea, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Jordon, and Djbouti.

However, God still renews his promise to also give Abraham a son and a nation through Sarah. God still clearly states that the covenant is specifically for Abraham’s son Isaac who Sarah will give birth to in less than a year. Abraham was 99 years old when he was circumcised. Ishmael was 13 years old when he was circumcised. All the male slaves born in the household and those bought from foreigners were also circumcised. Sarah had already stopped having her menstrual periods and gone through menopause. Abraham and Sarah saw three visitors approaching and they received them. Abraham showed the visitors hospitality with food and refreshments. The visitors said that they would return in a year and Sarah would have a son by that time.

If Isaac’s descendants were all exterminated from the planet, then God’s Covenant was untrue and God would be a liar. There have been many attempts to prove God to be a liar by exterminating all of Isaac’s descendants, the Jewish people. These attempts have been rationalized by claiming that the Jewish people are too arrogant to deserve to live or that they are too aggressive when they defend themselves against extermination. The Jewish people continually face Anti-Semitism because they are perceived to be arrogant and they claim to be the descendants of Isaac, the people of God’s Covenant with Abraham. One of the most recent attempts occurred during World War II. The Holocaust occurred during World War II, which was a Jewish genocide where more than 6 million Jews throughout Europe were put in concentration camps and systematically killed through starvation and in lethal gas chambers. The Jewish people were labeled as being arrogant and the cause of many of Europe’s problems, so according to Nazis they needed to be exterminated. There will always be attempts to dehumanize and eradicate the Jewish people by bigots intolerant of God and the Bible.

God created the world in six phases, is resting in the seventh phase, and will circumcise the world on the eighth phase; the flesh of this earthly world will be cut away to recreate it in the glory of heavenly world fulfilled for those who have proven to have genuine faith. The Romans general Titus destroyed the Jewish state of Judea and exiled the Jewish people in 70 A.D. The Romans called land “Palestinia” in honor of the Philistines to erase it historical connection to the Jewish people. The land was officially renamed “Palestine” after 138 A.D. The Palestinians claim to be descendants of the Philistines. After the Romans destroyed the Jewish state of Judea, the Jewish people were without a state for 1878 years during which time they also endured the Jewish Holocaust. Abraham was born 1948 years after the first man Adam was created. The modern nation of Israel finally restored a Jewish state for the descendants of Isaac, the son of Abraham and Sarah. Israel was finally became as a democratic nation in the year 1948 A.D. , which was 1948 years after Jesus became human. The “A.D.” stands for the Latin “Anno Domini”, which means “The Year of The Lord”.

Galatians 3:7-11

Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham. Destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah

The Lord plans to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah because of its grave sin and there was a great outcry against it. The Lord reveals the plan to destroy Sodom. Abraham asks the Lord whether he will sweep away the innocent with the guilty. Abraham asks the Lord if the city would be spared if there were 50 innocent people in it. The Lord says that the city would be spared if there were 50 innocent people in it. Abraham continues to ask the same question for 45, 40, 30, 20, and finally 10 innocent people. The Lord says that the city would be spared if there were 10 innocent people in it.

Two angels disguised as gentlemen entered Sodom in the evening. Lot, Abraham’s nephew, greeted them. Lot invites them to lodge at his home. They eventually agreed and Lot prepared them dinner. All the townspeople of Sodom both young and old surrounded Lot’s house. They yelled at Lot asking him where the two men were. They demanded Lot give them the two men so that they could rape them. Lot offers to give up his two virgin daughters instead. Lot says that he will not give up the men because they have come under the protection of his house. The two angels disguised as gentlemen created a bright light that blinded all the townspeople.

The angels warn Lot to get his whole family out of the city because they are about to destroy it. Lot warns his almost sons-in-law who are engaged to his daughters to flee the city because it is about to be destroyed. His almost sons-in-law think he is joking, so they stay in the city. The angel leads Lot, Lot’s wife, and Lot’s daughters out of the city and tells them to get to the hills and warns them not to look back or stop beforehand or they will die. Lot asked the angel if he could flee to the small city of Zoar, which means “small and insignificant” instead of the hills, the angel agreed. Sulfurous fire then fell on Sodom and Gomorrah. Lot’s wife turned back and she became scorch-glazed and turned into what looked like a pillar of salt. The next morning Abraham saw dense fumes of smoke rising over the land like fumes from a furnace.

Lot was afraid to say in the city of Zoar, so he settled in the hill country with his daughters. Lot’s daughters wanted to have children, but there were no other men around. Lot’s two daughters got him drunk two nights in a row and rape him when he is drunk one each night and they both get pregnant. The older daughter gave birth to a son named Moab. The Moabites were the descendants of Moab. The younger daughter gave birth to a son named Ammon. The Ammonites were a descendent of Ammon.

The destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah foreshadows the God’s judgment of the Earth after the one-world government that forces everyone to worship the image of the beast. For those remaining on the Earth at that time the choice will be to either worship the image of the beast or be killed. There will be judgment for all who choose to worship the image of the beast rather than worship only the Lord and be killed.

Romans 12:19

Birth of Isaac (2048 years after Adam was created)

Abraham went to Negeb and settled between Kadesh and Shur. While he stayed in Gerar, Abraham said that Sarah was his sister. Abimelech, the king of Gerar, was going to take Sarah. In a dream, the Lord warns Abimelech that he will die if he takes her because she has a husband. Abimelech pleads for God not to slay him because he innocent and did not know she had a husband; Abraham and Sarah had both said they are brother and sisters. The Lord agrees that Abimelech was innocent, which is why he is being warned now. Abimelech asked Abraham what he was afraid that caused him to lie. Abraham said he thought they would kill him on account of his wife. Also Abraham reveals that Sarah is actually his half-sister, his father’s daughter but not his mother’s daughter. Abimelech took flocks and herds of male and female slaves and gave them to Abraham. Abimelech also said that Abraham could settle anywhere he wanted in the land. Abimelech also gave them a thousand shekels of silver to show that there was no ill will.

Abraham was 100 years old when Isaac was born, which was 1 year after Abraham made the covenant of circumcision with God, which was 14 years after Ishmael was born, which was 25 years after Abraham left Haram and migrated to Canaan, which was 42 years after Noah died, which was 392 years after the flood started, which was 2048 years after Adam was created.

Sarah became pregnant and gave birth to Abraham’s son, who Abraham named Isaac. Abraham circumcised Isaac when he was eight days old. Isaac was Abraham’s first son to be circumcised on the 8th day in accordance with the Covenant he made with God. Ishmael, the son of Hagar and Abraham, was circumcised when he was already 13 years old. Sarah saw her son Isaac playing with Hagar’s son Ishmael and demanded that Abraham drive away the slave Hagar and her son, who was also Abraham’s son. The Lord told Abraham to heed the demands of Sarah since the Covenant is only specifically through Isaac. The Lord still promises to make a great nation through Ishmael since he also is Abraham’s offspring. God was with Ishmael as he grew up. Ishmael lived in the wilderness and became an expert bowman. His home was in the wilderness of Paran. Hagar got him a wife from the land of Egypt.

Abraham is tested by God

God wanted to test Abraham’s loyalty and faith. God told Abraham to take Isaac, the only son born from both him and his wife Sarah, and offer him up as a burning sacrifice to God. Abraham saddled his donkey, took Isaac and two servants, and brought wood to burn the sacrifice. Abraham told his servants to stay in place while he took Isaac and the firewood to make a sacrifice to God. Isaac carried the firewood on his shoulder while Abraham carried the fire and a knife. Isaac asked Abraham where the sheep for the sacrifice was. Abraham replied that God himself will provide the sheep for the sacrifice. Abraham built an altar and tied Isaac to it. Abraham took the knife and was about to slaughter his son, but the Lord’s messenger out to Abraham and told Abraham not to harm the boy in any way. The Lord’s messenger said that Abraham had proven how devoted he is to God since he would not even withhold his own beloved son. Abraham found a ram caught in the thicket and sacrificed the ram instead of his son. The Lord’s messenger said that the Lord swears by himself that because Abraham did not even withhold his own beloved son from, that the Lord will bless Abraham and make his descendants as countless as the stars in the sky and the sands of the seashore. The Lord’s messenger says that Abraham’s descendants will take possession of the gates of their enemies and in Abraham’s descendants all nations will find blessing.

The testing of Abraham foreshadows the coming of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ was the lamb that God himself would provide. The wood that Isaac caries foreshadows the cross that Jesus Christ would carry. Since Abraham was willing to sacrifice his own beloved son for God, God could do nothing less than sacrifice his own beloved son for us. Jesus Christ was a descendant of Abraham, and in Jesus Christ all nations will find blessing.

Romans 4:18

Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.”

Galatians 3:6

So also Abraham “believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”

Romans 4:2-5

If, in fact, Abraham was justified by works, he had something to boast about—but not before God. What does Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation. However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness.

I ask then: Did God reject his people? By no means! I am an Israelite myself, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin. God did not reject his people, whom he foreknew. Don’t you know what Scripture says in the passage about Elijah—how he appealed to God against Israel: “Lord, they have killed your prophets and torn down your altars; I am the only one left, and they are trying to kill me”? And what was God’s answer to him? “I have reserved for myself seven thousand who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” So too, at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace. And if by grace, then it cannot be based on works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace.

Death of Sarah (2085 years after Adam was created)

Sarah died in the land of Canaan. Sarah lived to be 127 years old. Abraham was 10 years older than Sarah. Abraham was 137 years old when Sarah died, which was 37 years after Isaac was born, which was 38 years after Abraham made the covenant of circumcision with God, which was 51 years after Ishmael was born, which was 62 years after Abraham left Haram and migrated to Canaan, which was 79 years after Noah died, which was 429 years after the flood started, which was 2085 years after Adam was created.

Normally an immigrant was not allowed to buy land, but they made an exception for Abraham. Abraham purchased a burial spot for Sarah from Ephron in the presence of the Hittites for the current market value, 400 sheckles of silver. Abraham insisted on purchasing the land rather than receiving it as a gift. This was so that it gave his descendants their first land rights in land promised to his descendants. Abraham buried Sarah in the cave Machpelah facing Mamre (Hebron). The modern nation of Israel was established by the Jewish people purchasing their ancestral land back.

Abraham had reached a ripe old age. He had one of his servants swear to him that they would make sure his son Isaac married one of his relatives rather than one of the Canaanite women. The servant took 10 camels and many gifts wand went to the city of Nahor in Aram Naharaim. The servant was going to ask a girl to draw water for him and his camels water. The servant asked the Lord to let the girl be the one for Isaac if she said yes and did so. Rebekah was the daughter of Bethuel who was the son of Abraham’s brother Nahor and his wife Milcah. The servant asked Rebekah for a drink of water, she agreed and offered to get water for all his camels. The servant asked her whose daughter she was. The servant also asked her if he could lodge in her Father’s house for the night. The table was set for the servant, but he would not eat until he told his story. They agreed to let the servant take Rebekah to be Isaac’s wife. The servant gave Rebekah silver and gold articles of clothing. The servant also gave Rebekah’s family many expensive gifts. The servant wanted to leave the next day to return back to Isaac. The family wanted Rebekah to wait ten days. They asked Rebekah what she wanted. She said she wanted to leave with the servant the next day. Rebekah and her nurse left with the servant the next day.

Abraham re-married after Sarah’s death. Abraham married Keturah. Keturah bore Abraham six more children, Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak and Shuah. Abraham deeded everything to his son Isaac.
