Chapter 3 Origins of Humans Life

The following is not intended to be a logistical reference, but rather it is intended to be a general conceptual overview to give some perspective on the progression of phases in which life was created. In geology, rocks are stacked in layers containing the oldest fossils in the deepest layers and the youngest fossils near the top layers. At the bottom of the timeline there are no fossils of any animals. As you go up the layers there are fossils of invertebrates, then fossils of fish and amphibians, then fossils of dinosaurs and birds, and finally then fossils of mammals and humans. From the fossils in these layers of rock we learn that the diversity of life was not created instantaneously, but rather the diversity of life was created in a progression of phases.

There was the first living cell created on Earth about 3.5 billion years ago. There was multi-cellular marine invertebrate organism that did not have a backbone created around 555 million years ago. There were vertebrate fishes that did have a backbone created around 500 million years ago. There was land plants created about 420 million years ago. There were forests and 4 limbed land vertebrates created about 360 million years ago. The Pangea supercontinent was created around 250 million years ago. There were dinosaurs created about 225 million years ago. The continents drifted toward their current positions. Flowers and bony fish were created about 130 million years ago. There were mammals created about 65 million years ago. There are fossils of bone fragments humanoid beings purported to be from as early as about 4 million BC. There are fossils of bone fragments of humanoid beings that were created to be anatomically similar to modern humans purported to be as early as 130,000 BC. However these other humanoid beings that were created were not modern humans capable of human civilization. The first modern humans capable of the emotion, intellect, and will necessary for human civilization were purported to be created around 4000 BC. The first human civilization occurred in Mesopotamia and Egypt around 4000 BC.

The fossil record simply confirms the obvious fact that the diversity of life was created in a progression and not instantaneously. The design of certain systems and features were modified over time similar to how the designs of different car models are modified over time. We can also compare the genetic code of modern organisms to patterns and relationships between different organisms. These patterns and relationships in the genetic code imply that certain features in some organisms were designed in response to features in other organisms until they balanced each other out. These patterns and relationships can also be used to indirectly guess the probable path that each design branched out into new designs. This suggests that the diversity of life was not designed in a linear fashion but rather in an exponential fashion. Humans generally design new car models in a linear fashion, each year a new car model comes out. If humans were to design car models in an exponential fashion, then each former car model might branch out into 7 related car models the next year. The person who designed the diversity of life was intelligent enough to think and design in an exponential manner.

Anyone who studies human anatomy will understand the complex integrated design of humans. There are enzymes, organelles, cells, tissues, organs, and many different organ systems all efficiently working together to keep a human person alive. The modern human brain is extremely intelligent and efficient. The combination of the compact size, energy usage, and computing power of the human brain is far superior to any supercomputer that humans have ever built. A non-intelligent selection method would only be able to select one feature at a time. Through a non-intelligent selection method there could only be a series of separate basic compartmentalized improvements, not complex integrated improvements. Only through an intelligent selection method could there be multiple improvements occurring simultaneously that are essential for a new integrated system to initially operate. It is a scientific fact that the diversity of life was crafted by an intelligent person. We can choose to accept the scientific fact that the diversity of life was crafted by an extremely intelligent person or we can continue to fabricate myths and stories about “macroscopic evolution”.

There are people who refuse to accept the scientific fact that complex integrated systems can only be designed by an intelligent person, and they fabricate myths and stories about complex integrated systems being produced randomly and then being selected from by a non-intelligent selection method. The people who fabricate myths and stories about “macroscopic evolution” do not use evidence but rather they hide their ignorance by oversimplifying the complex integrated systems of life. If the systems of life were all compartmentalized, then eventually enough compartmentalized systems would accrue to create some diversity of life for a limited amount of time. One major problem with compartmentalized systems is that they are horribly inefficient and would tax the organism’s energy resources too much. This is what I call the Frankenstein’s monster of “macroscopic evolution”. Eventually there would too many compartmentalized systems that would accrue that would tax organisms’ energy and resources the breaking point and they would be trapped in that inefficient state or all die out.

The only way for complex life to survive is to have complex integrated systems, not compartmentalized systems. Integrated systems are more efficient and use less energy and resources than compartmentalized systems. However, integrated systems require a lot of careful thought and planning to design them. Anyone who has ever tried to design a spacecraft or mars rover would know that you cannot just keep adding more and more compartmentalized systems. The spacecraft would be way too bulky, inefficient, and costly. Rather the systems need to be integrated together in such a way that the systems do not interfere with each other. When the systems are integrated they become more efficient in terms of compact size, energy usage, and functionality.

The people who fabricate myths and stories about “macroscopic evolution” will also fabricate myths and stories about complex integrated systems being designed by “natural selection” to justify it. The people who claim that “natural selection” is responsible for designing the complex integrated systems of life are either complacently ignorant or wickedly suppressing the truth.

Individual organisms with defective or inoperable systems are naturally more likely to die before reproduction. Individual organisms with more optimized systems are naturally more likely to survive and reproduce. Each species has been designed to allow diverse variations of many different characteristics. The variations that are harmful to the individuals’ survival are naturally more likely to cause those individuals to become debilitated or die leaving fewer descendants. The variations that are beneficial to the individuals’ survival are naturally more likely to cause those individual to thrive and survive producing greater decedents. Therefore, the variations that are beneficial to the survival of the individuals from the parent generations are more likely to be the ones passed on and maintained in the individuals of all the descendant generations, which is natural selection. Natural selection does not determine which variations will be created, but rather only what variations will be maintained as the remnant. Natural selection does not design the best selections, but rather only selects from the best designs.

Complex integrated systems cannot be designed through natural selection. A complex integrated system that already exists can only naturally be optimized and maintained through natural selection. Simple compartmentalized systems will never naturally increase in order and complexity to become complex integrated system through natural selection. Natural selection merely prevents the complex integrated systems that already exist from naturally degenerating into a non-functioning system. Natural selection merely optimizes the complex integrated systems that already exist. Natural selection merely recalibrates the complex integrated systems that already exist to stay compatible with the environment.

Natural selection is not an instrument of risk taking on new complex integrated designs that do not function yet but could be potentially rewarding in the future. Natural selection is an instrument stability that only rewards existing designs that already function and are currently beneficial. Natural selection is not responsible for designing complex integrated system. However, natural selection is responsible for maintaining systems to be compatible with the environment. If a system is no longer necessary for an environment, that system can become inoperative. When a species with eyes is relocated to region without light such as a dark cave, natural selection can no longer operate to preserve the function of the eye. Over generations the eye will degenerate until it no longer functions. This represents a decrease in order, not an increase in order and complexity. Natural selection is also responsible for keeping the systems stable and compatible with the environment, which can create diversity within a genus. When the members of a species become geographically isolated from each other, their reproductive systems will degenerate to the point where the reproductive systems become incompatible with each other. The one species will branch into two species because their reproductive systems become incompatible with each other. This merely represents an increase in compatibility with the environment at the cost of a decrease in capability with each other; it does not represent an increase in new complex systems.

Within the same genus, when one species branches into two species, they may still be capable of reproducing even if there are obstructions preventing it. For example a liger, is the offspring of a lion and tiger. The term “species” is often very vague and difficult to define since different species within the same genus are often still capable of reproducing. The term “species” is even more difficult to define when it comes to bacteria, which reproduce asexually and do not have the complex integrated systems of animals such as tissues, organs, organ systems. The people who claim that “natural selection” is responsible for designing the complex integrated systems of life are either complacently ignorant or wickedly suppressing the truth.

It is a scientific fact that natural selection is unable to design new complex integrated systems that are not already functional. Therefore, the people who fabricate myths and stories about “macroscopic evolution” will then also fabricate myths and stories about the possibilities being “infinite” in order to justify it being generated randomly.

The age of the universe is less than 14 billion years, which is less than 10^30 nanoseconds. The number of atoms in the visible universe is less than 10^90. The age of the universe in nanoseconds multiplied by the number of atoms in the universe is less than 10^120, which is less than 16^120, which is only 2^480. Therefore, the age of the universe in nanoseconds multiplied by the number of atoms in the universe is less than 2^480.

An average protein will be around 500 amino acids long. However, there are many proteins that can be much longer than this. For example, Titin is a protein in humans that has over 27,000 amino acids. Imagine a digital password that has a length of 500 made of 0s and 1s. The number of combinations would be 2^500, which is more than the age of the universe in nanoseconds multiplied by the number of atoms in the universe. Even if you had the entire universe at your disposal and all the time in the universe, you could never randomly generate the genetic codes to program all the proteins necessary for all the complex integrated systems of the immense diversity of life.

Natural selection does not design the best selection, but rather it only selects from the best designs. It is a scientific fact that the proteins for all the complex integrated systems cannot be designed randomly in our universe. It is a scientific fact that the diversity of life was crafted by an extremely intelligent person. We can choose to accept the scientific fact that the diversity of life was crafted by an extremely intelligent person or we can continue to fabricate myths and stories about “macroscopic evolution”. The people who try to justify “macroscopic evolution” using myths and stories about the possibilities being “infinite” are either complacently ignorant or wickedly choosing to suppress the truth.

It is a scientific fact that the self-replicating computerized factory of a living cell was initially designed and created by an extremely intelligent person. It is a scientific fact that complex integrated systems of life were designed by an extremely intelligent person.

Where this extremely intelligent person comes from is a matter of religious debate. The people who try to use myths and stories about “abiogenesis” and “macroscopic evolution” to avoid the religious debate are either ignorantly complacent or wickedly choosing to suppress the truth. Atheists would probably argue that the extremely intelligent person was an alien or alien civilization within the dimensions of our universe. Theists would probably argue that the extremely intelligent person was God or angels in a dimension in contact with but above our universe.
