Puppy Is Reunited With The Firefighter Who Saved Her From Abuse
Firefighters are among the greatest people that have walked this planet. They put their lives in danger everyday just by doing their precious jobs at protecting and serving us. But other than putting out fires and assisting with accidents, they do occasionally help some innocent creatures they have found in dire straits.
Firefighter Mike Thawley with Fire Station 14 in Sacramento found a sick Pit Bull puppy tied up in the rain and saved her. After getting her cleaned up she was brought to Front Street Animal Shelter for some TLC. The next day Firefighter Thawley came down to visit the pup. As you can see from the video, she is very grateful!
It is amazing how animals have the ability to remember when someone was kind to them. Named Chunkie, the sick little Pit Bull pup recognized her savior and immediately starts wagging her poor mangy tail. Firefighter Mike picks up the happy pup in his arms and she starts kissing him all over the face. It might not have been a good idea, what with her condition, but the connection they share is evident!
Chunky was gifted with a cute pink sweater before going for her treatment and we couldn't melt any further! Mike is in negotiations with his family to foster puppy Chunkie, but we think it is a safe bet to say that they will surely adopt the adorable puppy. How can you not love that face?!
