The Plot of Olga Romanov

Grand Duchess Olga Romanov (1895-1918), oldest of Tsar Nicholas II's children, owned a gun that was remembered by Colonel Kobolinsky and Baroness Sophie Buexhoeveden. What kind of gun was it, and what did Olga plan on using it for? What were some of the rescue plots swirling around the Romanov house arrests in Tobolsk and Ekaterinburg in 1917, 1918? Olga sent telegrams to her parents from Tobolsk during their 1918 separation. Was she sending telegrams to her friends in the White Army as well?
