Pennsylvania's Hollywood: Betzwood

Hollywood was not the only filmmaking town in America. This video offers an in-depth look at the Betzwood Studio in Pennsylvania, seated on the Schuylkill River. Operating next to the Pennsylvania Railroad and on 340 acres of a former brewmaster's estate, Betzwood churned out over a thousand films from 1910-1917. What caused this imaginative studio to go bankrupt? Was it due to World War I, patent infringement, antitrust cases or unpopularity of founder Siegmund Lubin?
