The Friendship of W. B. Yeats

W. B. Yeats (1865-1939), architect of the Celtic Renaissance and Irish Literary Revival, reminisced about his fellow Irishman Oscar Wilde (1854-1900) twenty-seven years after Wilde's death. Yeats and Wilde ran in the same circles in 1880s London. Wilde gave Yeats some of his most glowing early reviews of The Wanderings of Oisin (1889).
