Do You FEAR the COMING APOCALYPSE?! (Why is Post-Apocalypse Fiction so Popular?)

From Covid-19 to the Ukraine War, the world has gone from pandemic to potential world war...maybe I'm sick, but throughout all of it, I have consumed a modest amount of post-apocalyptic fiction. Do you fear the coming apocalypse or a worldwide reset? Or do you secretly welcome the coming chaos? I doubt I'm alone in having legitimate concerns about what is to come.
