Hemingway vs. Fitzgerald

Ernest Hemingway (1899-1961) and F. Scott Fitzgerald (1896-1940) are two of the most well-known writers of the 20th century. Inspired by Fitzgerald's novel The Great Gatsby (1925) to be a novelist, Hemingway choked on Fitzgerald's kinder gentler nature. Ripping him and his wife to pieces in the posthumously published A Movable Feast (1964), Hemingway's masculinity failed to recognize the subtlety in Fitzgerald.
