Last night, they struck targets right next to the Romanian border for the first time.

Romania is a NATO state.
In Romania no one knew of the plan to escort those Ukranian ships in teritorial waters so its not like it was discussed in Romania. Ukraine announced it. But yes this is concerning.
Ukraine leadership first talked with the "international community" to put pressure on Romania and Bulgaria to let the Ukranian grain ships pass through their teritorial waters which is not ok to not talk with Romania and Bulgaria first.
Now the Russian army atacked to force Romania and Bulgaria into submission which is not going to work. It wasnt necesarry since already the two states were not keen on escorting the Ukranian Grain Ships but now that Russia atacked it will tip the balance into Ukraine favour, because people dont like to be armhandled and intimidated like this.
