How to replace porch pillar/column

I jacked up the porch roof with a 4x4 and a 10 ton hydraulic jack. Slid out the rotted column, slid in the new pillar and set the porch roof back down. Then I cut and mitered the top and bottom trim, caulked it, put two coats of paint on it and cleaned up. I have three more projects, and then I’ll get back to making knives.
