Strange rocket-like object in west coast sky

Traveling northbound on 101 in California on Wednesday June 19, 2023 at 9:11 local time. Started as a bright orange color and turned into bright white light that appeared to emit a beam of light as it disappeared into the sky. Windshield was dirty with splattered insects so horrible shot, but it happened so fast.
