One of the poorer provinces in China, Henan, is hanging granite tiles on 22 kilometers of river banks as part of a half-billion-dollar government project to manage a river. People asked what’s wrong with the river bank now and how much is the cost. The local government said it’s 6.5 million yuan and only 0.2% of the total cost.
