Today the Tone Priest begins an epic journey for the holy grail of vintage guitar Tone by scratch building a Fender 6G3 Brownface Deluxe amplifier. Part 1 of this series shows us how he guts an inexpensive Crate combo amplifier to be used as a donor cab and chassis. For the records, we have no affiliation with PBS - just nostalgic satire.
