Dark Coronal Hole Brings Bright Aurora: Solar Storm Forecast 11-09-2017
Again we find ourselves with a spotless Sun, yet a huge solar storm hits Earth and brings stunning aurora clear down to Germany and Nebraska! This is due to the fast solar wind from a dark coronal hole that will linger in the Earth strike zone for the next day or two. This storm is compounding amateur radio issues we already are having due to the very low solar flux. Luckily, this will change next week. See how long the effects from this ongoing solar storm and spotless Sun are expected to last, catch up on aurora pictures, and see what else the Sun has in store.
