NT Framework 11 Three Streams of OT Revelation Converge in the Messiah

SBC Family and Friends,

Tomorrow we're going to take a journey into the OT into three lines of evidence. Those three lines of evidence are the concept of "dwelling," "God," and "man." These three evidences all converge in the Messiah. The concept of God's desire to dwell with man is considered by some theologians as the most fundamental teaching of the Bible (e.g. Stanley Toussaint). They are intimately related to the incarnation and therefore, the virgin birth.

I think after this lesson we'll start looking at the doctrines related to the Virgin Birth. There will be three doctrines: the Trinity, the hypostatic union, and impeccability. These are super interesting, complex doctrines, but hopefully we are mentally, spiritually, and theologically prepared for a face to face with the most complicated Person ever.
