American Airlines increase pilot pay

American Airlines has reached an agreement to boost its pilot contract offer by over a billion dollars, matching the recent deal made by United Airlines, where pilots received up to a 40-percent salary increase. The revised offer from American Airlines entails approximately 9 billion dollars in additional compensation and benefits, encompassing salary hikes and bonuses for pilots. The company aims to have the agreement ratified in August, as stated by CEO Robert Isom.
