Ep 14 Stephen Shaw, Birthgap - Childless World

Stephen J. Shaw is a statistician, computer scientist, and founder of two data analytics companies in UK and US. He holds an MBA from ISG in Paris and is a degree candidate at Harvard University. Stephen has lived on 3 continents and filmed in 24 countries. He currently resides in Japan.

Birthgap.org is a social impact enterprise that emerged from "The Birthgap Project" which had the goal of finding the answer to the question, "Why have birthrates been falling at different rates across the industrialized world since the 1970s?" The project took Stephen on a four year journey across 24 countries to discover the common factor across all these nations. Originally planned to be a book at most, the project soon became the documentary "Birthgap - Childless World" which featured at the New York Chelsea Film Festival in 2021. Today, Birthgap.org has a goal of preparing people on both a personal and community level for the challenges that lie ahead during this new era.
