Young divers explore historical wreck in Bay of Pigs

Three teen scuba divers are taken on a journey 45 feet beneath the waves to witness a part of history from over 50 years ago. Orestes, the divemaster, has taught these kids about Cuba's history, including the Bay of Pigs invasion. This was a field that trip involved a tour of Cuba's Bay of Pigs Museum, an unforgettable visit to a sunken gunship from the 5 day battle and exposure to the life of Cubans that few tourists are lucky enough to see. They celebrated New Year with a wonderful Cuban family and were immersed in an incredible culture. No classroom lesson could compare.
