John McLusky was the original artist for Ian Fleming's James Bond - drawing the first face the world ever saw of Bond, which led to Sean Connery being cast. McLusky illustrated the comic strips in the Daily Express which popularised Bond in America and led to the films which cemented 007 as one of the most enduring cultural icons of the 20th and 21st centuries.
