Servicemen of Russian and Chinese navies carry out joint artillery firing within ‘North/Interaction 2023’ exercise

▫️ Following in a ship’s wake, the Russian ships fired at targets at a range of more than five kilometres from 100mm A-190 and Ak-100 artillery systems. The Chinese sailors hit targets with 130mm H/PJ-38 shipboard artillery and 76mm universal artillery.

▫️ During the day, sailors of the Russian and Chinese navies practised the tasks of searching for, escorting and dislodging an unknown submarine. According to the legend of the exercise, the submarine of the mock enemy was detected by the regular sonic signal equipment of the ships.

▫️ A Ka-27PL anti-submarine helicopter with sonic signal equipment was taken off into the air to track and classify the submarine. The command decided to pursue and drive the submarine out of the exercise area.
