Itachi's life story

Itachi Uchiha was an Anbu Captain and a shinobi from Konohagakure’s Uchiha clan. After murdering his whole clan and sparing only his younger brother, Sasuke, he went on to become an international criminal. He later joined the Akatsuki international criminal organisation, whose activities pitted him against Konoha and its ninja, especially Sasuke, who vowed to avenge their clan by killing Itachi. Itachi’s reasons were shown to be more nuanced than they appeared after his death, and that his acts were always in the best interests of his brother and town, causing him to remain a devoted shinobi of Konohagakure to the end.
