For those of you who may not be aware, The HBO hit series, Game of Thrones is adapted from the George R.R. Martin, A Song of Ice and Fire, novels.
These novels have a great wealth of history that the show can only briefly touch on.
If you are like me, the show will come across lands and characters I've never heard of. Or mentions names of characters that died long ago.
