Seeking 70's

I arrived at Cochetopa Creek Recreation Site about 10 am today. After spending a week on BLM land in Mosca, at the base of Mt. Blanca, enduring mid and upper 80's°, I collected a package at the local post office sent General Delivery, and took off for higher ground and search of a more temperate climate. I've found Russell Lakes State Wildlife Area, in Saguache, CO, a very tranquil, serene, and idyllic sanctuary in the middle of nowhere, and decided to stop for the night. Waking early this morning, I decided to get a jump on many would-be travelers and made my way to Cochetopa Creek Recreation Site, in Gunnison, CO, after a few detours, pleasant distractions, and pit-stops.
I like to remind my peeps to stop and smell the roses because, after all, it is not the destination, but the journey we ride.
