Our Sun really wakes up this week as we not only have some fast solar wind hitting Earth now that has already brought us up to active conditions, but we also have at least 4 solar storms that were launched on the Sun's backside in less than 48 hours! Old regions 2738 and 2739 seem to be in an active region shootout to see which one can launch the biggest solar storm-- Wham! Bam! They are firing fast! As these regions rotate back into Earth view over the next few days, we will get a better look at them to see if they could possibly launch an Earth-directed solar storm once they reach the Earth-strike zone. Meanwhile, solar flux increases slowly, but as these regions rotate more into view, we could see flux rise back into the mid-70s. This means radio propagation could improve to marginal levels by week's end!
