Why Apple's Removing iMessage & FaceTime From The UK

Apple is threatening to remove iMessage & FaceTime from the UK.
What, but why?
Well the UK government is trying to update the 2016 IPA act to essentially give them more control over user privacy.
It would make it so they could order to have security features such as end-to-end encryption disabled.
Without any independent overview & without even telling the public.
So now Apple’s threatening to close some of its services in the UK, just like WhatsApp & Signal.
They’re calling this an overreach of authority as well as a threat to data security & information privacy for everyone.
Which I totally agree with because legislation like this isn’t only disgusting, but potentially very scary.
