Carnita's Snack Shack is the pork capital of Embarcadero North

San Diego is one of the few places where culture shock is actually encouraged and appreciated, making the city our favorite spot to visit in the lower 48 states. Last year, we made a stop at San Diego’s very own Carnita's Snack Shack in the trendy North Park neighborhood for that fast-casual porkhouse experience. This year, while running the streets for Independence Day, we discovered that Carnita's expanded to the city's Embarcadero North waterfront zone. Hungry for all things pork, we zipped over to chat it up with Chef Hanis Cavin to learn about his successful foodie venture.
