Q: What is Amazon STEP?
A: STEP is a performance-based benefits program which simplifies your experience by providing customized and actionable recommendations, helps you improve key customer experience metrics and in turn, your growth. Your performance on key metrics and the associated benefits are transparent, easy to understand and applicable to sellers of all sizes and tenure on Amazon.in.

As you improve your performance, you unlock benefits by moving through ‘Basic’, ‘Standard’, ‘Advanced’, ‘Premium’ levels & more. These benefits include weight handling & lightning deal fee waivers, faster disbursement cycles, priority seller support, free account management, free A+ cataloguing and many more. With STEP, your performance, benefits and growth are owned by you, and puts you in charge of your success!

Q: Do I have to register for STEP?
A: Sellers are automatically enrolled into Amazon STEP.
Q: I am a new seller. Will I be part of STEP?
A: Yes, as a new seller you will start at the 'Standard' level and enjoy 'Standard' benefits from day one.
Q: Where can I view my performance?
A: You can view your performance, current level, benefits and customized recommendations on the STEP Dashboard on Seller Central. Click here to visit the STEP dashboard in Seller Central (login required).
Q: When will I be evaluated?
A: STEP follows a quarterly evaluation cycle and based on your performance in the last quarter you move to a new level (or continue at the same level) by the 5th day of the next quarter.

For example, based on your performance from January 1, 2022 to March 31, 2022 you move to "Basic", "Advanced" or "Premium" effective April 5, 2022. You will continue at this level and receive corresponding benefits until the next evaluation is completed by July 5, 2022 based on your performance from April 1, 2022 to June 30, 2022.

The evaluation will be done only if you have fulfilled at least 30 orders and have at least five distinct ASINs in the evaluation period. If you do not fulfil the above criteria, you will be at the "Standard" level and receive "Standard" benefits.
