US: President Joe Biden nominates admiral Lisa Franchetti as navy chief

Admiral Lisa Franchetti has been nominated by U.S. President Joe Biden to lead the U.S. Navy. If confirmed, this would make Franchetti the first woman to occupy both of these positions and to serve on the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
