Does This Emergency Glow Stick Work After 5 Years Stored in My Car?

Will this Coghlans emergency 8 hour glow stick still work after being stored in my car for around five years? Let's crack it open and test! My concern is that the chemicals inside have naturally degraded, leaked, or been neutralized by extremely high and low temperatures.

NOTE: I have no way of knowing if the light output was degraded because I don't have a new one to compare it to and the ones produced now are completely different structure and packaging.
