Foreign Minister Fidan speaks at a joint press conference with his Venezuelan counterpart Gil

Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan said that he believed that unless the Islamic world reacts in an organised manner against the increasing attacks on the Holy Quran, there would be no awareness in the Western countries.
Minister Fidan spoke at the joint press conference organised after his meeting with Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yvan Gil, who visited Turkey, at the Istanbul Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Noting that they discussed regional and global developments during his meeting with his counterpart, Fidan said, "As Turkey, we are against unilateral sanctions and foreign interventions against Venezuela."
Fidan stated that they support the dialogue process between the government and the opposition in Venezuela and stressed that they are always ready to play a constructive role in this issue.
