My beloved dog, Sam died yesterday. It was a searing experience only topped by the sense of loss and missing his presence.

I recognize how universal this painful loss is for the millions of pet owners in the world. For several years I've received such powerful messages of love and loss from people who've watched my video on connecting with a pet in the afterlife.

Now I feel the same sense of loss and the need to surrender.
